A journey through the public and private lives of four boxers, each at a different point in his life and career. Three distinct episodes woven together with documentary footage of champion Tiberio Mitri : the neo-realist story of a young amateur who must take on his best friend ; the tale of a novice professional imprisoned in his English hotel room, awaiting the decisive match of his career ; and a stylistically ambitious episode about the finale humiliating defeat of a boxer whose career is on the skids.
