Plot: Fact-based story about "Sports Illustrated" writer, Frank Deford (Craig T. Nelson) and his wife's (Bonnie Bedelia) tumultuous life as result of their daughter's (Gennie James) bout with cystic fibrosis and subsequent death at age 8. But this film goes beyond the obvious disease of the week, as it follows the two aprent's recovery from their child's death. Then they weigh whether or not to adopt a child, struggling to determine if they are betraying their child's memory.
