Versioni alternative: - The original trailer showed a scene in which Wulfgar is in the subway looking at a map and stares at a cop next to him which was never in the final cut. - The TV version has different background music in the disco scene just before the chase begins. - A lobby card shows an extra scene between Sylvester Stallone and Lindsay Wagner that was cut from the film. - British TV routinely shows a version with a bowdlerised ending in which Da Silva is seen to shoot Wolfgar only twice (instead of six times). No doubt produced 'in house' by the network to reduce the amount of violent content, this alteration (a) looks ridiculous (Wolfgar is seen to have two bullet wounds after the first shot, and six after the second); (b) interferes with the discharge of tension (since Wolfgar now dies too easily and too quickly); and (c) obscures the dramatic connection with an earlier scene in which Da Silva pointedly practises shooting at a human-shaped target in such a way as would cause the maximum injury before the final, fatal shot.

Plot: Deke DaSilva and Matthew Fox are two New York cops who get transferred to an elite anti-terrorism squad. About this same time, an infamous international terrorist shows up in New York looking to cause some chaos. It's up to DaSilva and Fox to stop him, but will they be in time...? New York cop Deke DaSilva loves his job on the decoy squad so much he has several times forgone promotion. So when he and his partner are assigned to a new anti-terrorist unit he is pretty hostile to the idea. The unit is run by a British expert who suspects a major terrorist is in town. His message is shoot to kill, which makes DaSilva even unhappier. But when bombs start going off he thinks again.
