Plot: The beautiful Mrs. Paradine is accused of poisoning her old, rich and blind husband. She hires Anthony Keane as her lawyer and the trial starts. The lawyer falls in love with the lady while Judge Hornfield tries to seduce Keane's wife. Anthony finds out that the stable-man, Andre Latour, is Mrs. Paradine's lover. Being jealous of him, the lawyer involves Latour in the trial and starts accusing him till the boy commits suicide. Mrs. Paradine is shocked by her lover's death and she confesses to be her husband's murderer. The beautiful Mrs. Paradine is accused of poisoning her older, blind husband. She hires married Anthony Keane as her lawyer and when he begins to fall in love with her, she encourages him. Highly successful London barrister Anthony Keane takes on the case of Italian Maddalena Paradine who is accused of poisoning her blind military hero husband. Keane comes increasingly under her spell, threatening both his marriage and his career.
