Plot: Set in 19th century France, "Thérèse Raquin" is a fervent tale of adultery, revenge, and murder. Thérèse is married with her dull, weak, much-older husband Camille. But soon, a young fellow from Camille's past comes into their lives to live with them. Easily Thérèse finds him engagingly appealing in contrast to Camille and before long, Thérèse creates a passionate love affair with Laurent. But their uncontrollable love for each other had made them realize that their only obstacle to continue their love is Camille. So their mad minds had left them no choice but to murder Camille. While their plan worked the ghost of Camille begins to haunt and bedevil them making them psychologically damaged leading their love into a horrifying conclusion.
