Plot: Two spaceships, one manned by benevolent Maximals, the other by evil Predacons, crash-land on a pre-humanoid planet while en route to Earth. Their crews assume indigenous animal forms to protect themselves from an overabundance of natural energy, transforming into robots to do battle. Thus, the Beast Wars have begun... Long after the Great Wars, Megatron and a small band of Predicons steal the Golden Disk. They are pursued through time by Optimus Primal and his crew of Maximals and both crash on a primitive world. They take on the form of the most powerful local creatures to protect themselves from the unusually high amounts of energon, transforming into robots to do battle. As the Maximals fight to stop the Predicons from conquering the galaxy with this strange world's power and seek a way home, they fight mysterious aliens known as the Vok and discover they are on Earth, four million years ago. The Maximals must now protect the Ark and their very future from the evil Predicons seeking to destroy it. Centuries after the Cybertronian Wars, a small rebel group of criminal Predacons and their heroic Maximal pursuers crash-land on a primitive world. They assume native animal forms to protect themselves from the planet's rife amounts of energy, transforming into robots to do battle. As the Maximals fight to stop the Predacons from conquering the galaxy with this strange world's power and seek a way home, they are discovering the majesty of its wilderness and the threat posed by its mysterious alien caretakers.
